INTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD « ART MAESTRIA »

Art Maestria  has been a collective of 11 artists including 10 painters and 1 photographer, which was settled in 2021.

Its objective has been double: both mutual aid and creation.

Emerging from various artistic backgrounds, these artists have had a solid experience in the sector of visual art.

By themselves, only 11, they have included 300 years of artistic experience and have embodied 5000 works. They have taken part at 90 exhibitions in France and 190 exhibitions abroad in 42 countries.

Beyond the statistics, they have highlighted very different styles and emotions, ranging from the abstract to the figurative. They have regularly tackled various visual arts techniques such as painting, sculpture, photography, illustration, collage, but also other sectors of the arts including costumes, music or recycling. Some of them have given lessons, have coached artists or have set up exhibitions. The Art Maestria collective have been disseminated throughout France, Luxembourg and Ireland and, have gathered the following artists: Alexandra Kazakova, Aline Chevalier, Andrea Marco Ghia, Christelle Rodriguez, Hanae, Hervé Alexandre, Laurence Merlette, Marie-France Gély, Oana Alexa d'Ablove and Sabine Raymond.

At any time in the art history, artists have been confronted with new techniques or technologies which have questioned or modified their practices of arts, such was the case with the print system through engraving, lithographs or even more recently photography, which these artists have known how to integrate into their work without calling into question the aesthetic and technical main basics of art. It is considering this state of mind that the artist collective «Art Maestria» have made the decision to tackle with the NFT revolution. An NFT (non-fungible token) is a digital or digitized piece of art the authenticity and traceability of which are ensured by digital networks and difficult algorithms. But for Art Maestria , an NFT first of all remains a piece of art having to respect the same rules as a standard work. Beyond the authenticity and traceability insurance, for Art Maestria , the NFT technology unveils new artistic sectors that the collective wish to enhance without getting carried away by easy gain with dull quality works engendered by artificial intelligence.  Thus, their wish consists in being able to add a collection notion connected to an artistic variety, to superimpose sound effects which highlight the visual appearance, to guest movement to a mere visual work such as a photo or a painting, respecting the idea that this complementarity should have artistic sense. So, they accept to integrate the NFT as long as its technology makes it possible to give meaning to their work. This approach might appear against the current of the quick spread of speculative NFT; Art Maestria  choice is much more classic, more in compliance to their values and these shared by traditional art collectors and galleries.

Collection  - mona lisa _joconde

The purpose of the Art Maestria collective for the "Joconde" series has been a together artistic research around the universal symbol that Mona Lisa has embodied.

It has not been a matter of copying her, nor of diverting her as a great deal of artists have done before, but of rethinking her life in our modern world, each according to his own style, his own sensitivity and his own understanding of the masterpiece. Thus, the artists belonging to the collective have brought forward spontaneous and unique creations from the history of the Mona Lisa, as so many spotlights unveiling the secrets of Mona Lisa.

To introduce her in the NFT field, the Art Maestria collective have wished to stress upon the mystery that has arisen from her. Of course there has been her enigmatic smile which has deeply contributed to the painting fame, but also the technique of "sfumato" (from the Italian, meaning smoky) of which  Leonardo da Vinci  was so much fond of.

This process, settled by the master, is obtained by overlaying several surfaces of extremely soft and delicate paint, which allows a vaporous effect and imprecise contours to the subject. Leonardo describes it in these terms “without lines or contours, in the way of smoke” (Codex Urbinas, 1490-92, Vatican Library).

This is why each Mona Lisa has been slowly appearing in a colorful blur, which has been reminding us of sfumato at its climax, then has been right away disappearing. This animation of the image, which reinforces the notion of mystery of the initial painting, is accompanied by music created especially for these NFTs. Each Mona Lisa has its own intimate murmur, but if you put them together and play them together, they harmonize and let us hear a modern and delicate melody.

Collection  - TWO SOULS

Our new NFT collection is called « Two Souls ».

The 10 artists of our Art Maestria collective have artistically answered this question:

What can connect two souls together ?

This deep reflection brought out emotions, images and colors illustrating love, inspiration, dependence, future, revelation or complicity.

Each one has expressed his sensitivity in his own style with his favorite color palette, soft, dark, bright, joyful, peaceful or melancholic.

These NFT are in the form of videos, first in shades of grey to keep the mystery, then the colors appear slowly and reveal the magic that connects the two souls.

Each is accompanied by original music created especially for this collection by Hanaé Han who is one of the artists of our collective but also a musician and composer. This sound wonderfully deepens the animation of each NFT and composes a complete melody when viewed one after the other.
