We look forward to finding out more about the courses and curriculum at Imagine High, and how we can develop a program that will connect your students with meaningful learning experiences and the Sto:lo community and language.
Attached is an information handout for the upcoming event the GMS team is producing, in partnership with the University of the Fraser Valley, called: Chowyes-Xwithet/Rise Up-Wake Up. It will honour the children lost to residential schools, survivors and families—and pay homage to reconciliation and Halq’emeylem language revitalization through stories and songs. This focus may be of interest to staff and students.
2022 06 07 - "Thank you very much for our meeting yesterday. We really enjoyed learning about the great educational work going on at Imagine High. It’s especially exciting to know that the students are doing project-based cross-curricular learning—that opens up so many wonderful possibilities. We see opportunities to develop a project that brings the Halq’emeylem language, songs and stories to learners and teachers, and ways to express their learning and share it out with the community."
