PURENESS
PURENESS
This series draws inspiration from the life of an art teacher at an international school during our childhood. Back then, we lived in harmony, like fragrant flowers basking in the warmth of love's embrace. There was no room for showiness, pride, greed, anger, jealousy, ego, or sorrow.
The goal remains simple: to capture the precious memories of childhood on canvas, filled with the brightest smiles and the most beautiful blooms.
Childhood, I believe, holds great importance. The struggles we face during those years can cast lasting shadows, influencing our adult lives with a sense of weariness. Yet, the peace and love we experience in those early years stay with us forever. This source of happiness and warmth nurtures the spirit, cultivating optimism and understanding.
Driven by a desire to grow into a virtuous adult, I created this series using oil paints. Curated in 2016, the "Pureness" series was exclusively exhibited at Gallery 65 in Yangon. In 2021, the collection was also showcased alongside the "Floating Rain" series at Fine Art Asia in Hong Kong, presented by the CERS organization.
