Beauty of Freedom
Beauty of Freedom
This series of nude artwork goes beyond merely showcasing the form of a young woman’s body. It is a powerful expression of the freedom that belongs to all women, particularly in Myanmar, where societal norms impose many restrictions. In a culture where women are often prohibited from wearing shorts, bras, skirts, or even showing their legs, a woman's right to live freely is constrained. These limitations influence how a woman dresses, behaves, and moves, diminishing her potential and freedom.
Such control over a woman’s life is unacceptable. It strips her of the fundamental right to live authentically. A woman’s value lies not in her appearance, but in her inner talents and strength.
This series is my way of conveying this message. Created in 2021 using watercolors and oil pastels, it tells a story that is yet to be fully shared—a tribute to creativity and the unspoken power of freedom.
