Artisan Collegiate Academy is a proposed public charter school designed for students who deserve a more purposeful, engaging, and future-focused path through middle and high school.
Artisan will combine rigorous, standards-aligned academics with project-based learning, mastery-based instruction, career exploration, authentic workplace experiences, and the intentional use of artificial intelligence as a tool for deeper learning, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Students will build strong academic foundations while developing conceptual understanding, mastering meaningful skills, thinking critically, communicating effectively, and applying their learning to create lasting value beyond the classroom.
The school is planned to open with grades 6–9 and add one grade each year through grade 12, pending authorization by the Texas Education Agency.
Students will master the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills through high-quality instructional materials, explicit instruction, guided practice, inquiry, and application.
Interdisciplinary projects will connect academic content to authentic problems, community needs, professional expectations, and student interests.
Students will explore careers, earn high school and college credit, pursue industry-recognized credentials, and participate in internships and apprenticeships.
An artisan does more than complete a task. An artisan develops knowledge, practices with purpose, responds to feedback, solves problems, and takes pride in producing meaningful work.
At Artisan Collegiate Academy, students will become skilled thinkers and creators who understand both what they are learning and how to use it. The Artisan model is designed to develop agency, reasoning, innovation, adaptability, technical skills, and the ability to navigate each student’s next steps.
