ET-AI 2021 - Emergent Technologies and Artificial Intelligence
This workshop will create a space for sharing and discussion of existing work in this area and the future of AI techniques applied to emergent topics. The goal is to encourage further applications in industry of existing work and to encourage more researchers to explore AI as a means for improved systems automation and efficiency.

SUBMISSIONS
Authors must submit an original paper that has not previously been published. All contributions in English must have 12 to 15 pages, and follow the Springer template.
All papers should be d submitted electronically on the link to EasyChair submission system. The first anonymous version must be submitted in PDF.

Bruno M. C. Silva is currently Assistant Professor, Head of the Technology and coordinator of Games & Apps Development Course at Universidade Europeia, IADE, Lisbon, Portugal. He is also Invited Assistant Professor at Universidade da Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal. Received his PhD in 2015 from Universidade da Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, he is a senior researcher in Instituto de Telecomunicações, Universidade da Beira Interior, co-coordinator of the Next Generations Networks and Applications (NetGNA) research Lab, integrated with the Network Protocols and Algorithms research group. Bruno is also a research member of the Smart Cities research group of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. His research areas include Delay Tolerant Networks, Vehicular Networks, Mobile Computing, but especially, e- Health, Mobile Health, Internet of Things and Ambient Assisted Living. In recent years he was a member of several review and editorial boards of international scientific conferences and journals. Presently, he is a member of the editorial review board of the International Journal of E-Health and Medical Communications, member of the international committee of the International Conference on Internet of Things, Data and Cloud Computing and is the general co-chair of the EAI International Conference on IoT Technologies for HealthCare. He authors or co-authors several international conference papers and International Journal publications.
Nuno Pombo

Nuno Pombo is Assistant Professor at University of Beira Interior (UBI), Portugal. His current research interests include software engineering, information systems (with special focus on clinical decision support systems), artificial intelligence, data fusion, and software. He has more than ten years of academic experience at Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI) and Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (ULHT), along with 20 years of experience in both knowledge transfer and industry; as software developer, team leader, project leader, and Chief Technology Officer. He is the coordinator of the Assisted Living Computing and Telecommunications Laboratory, member of BSAFE Lab, and Instituto de Telecomunicações - IT at UBI. In addition, he is (or was) member of the Management Committee of the following COST Actions: Algorithms, Architectures and Platforms for Enhanced Living Environments (AAPELE), European Cooperation for Statistics of Network Data Science (COSTNET), and European Model Reduction Network (EU-MORNET). He has around 90 scientific publications including book chapters, full paper journals; e.g. IEEE Access, Applied Soft Computing, Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Computer Science Review, Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, Pervasive and Mobile Computing, and Measurement, just to mention a few. He has strong experience in R&D and cooperation at European level projects with both academia and industry. He is IEEE Senior Member.
