Unique Donor Day – Thursday, December 4
Grantees with the most individual donors on this day will receive from OICF:
$1,000 1st place, $500 2nd place, $250 3rd place
FunDay Monday – December 8
Donors over weekend of December 6-7 will be entered into a hat draw for $250 for a grantee of their choice.
Ben Franklin Day – December 10
Grantees with the most $100+ donations will receive from OICF:
$1,000 1st place, $500 2nd place, $250 3rd place
The Final Hours of Giving – December 11
During each the following hours, we’ll pick one donor at random and boost their gift by $250:
6 – 7 AM: Sunrise Prize
12 – 1 PM: Lunch Hour Prize
5 – 6 PM: Happy Hour Prize
9 – 10 PM: Night Owl Prize
Art for Orcas Kids (A*OK) is a program of the Orcas Island Education Foundation that provides local teaching artists to work with students at Orcas Island Public Schools. They work to help to inspire students and bring the visual arts to life.
Our MISSION is to bring visual art lessons to students in the Orcas Island School District.

These lessons:
inspire creative thinking and problem solving
honor the discipline of art-making and craftsmanship
utilize the Washington Common Core State Standards -Visual Arts Standards-OSPI
This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
Each year visit the all school annual student art exhibit held at the Orcas Center in Eastsound, WA. The exhibit features art created by K-8 classes. plus select Orcas Island High School student artwork.
A*OK brings art to students at the Orcas Island School District - your donations and gifts support our program. We bring visual arts to life through fabulous, creative projects. K-8 students explore their imaginations & develop art making skills. Your ongoing support has filled A*OK classroom with painted paper collages, mixed-media creatures, pattern studies, and joyful creativity.
This year, A*OK is requesting $2,820 through GiveOrcas to fund our Annual Student Art Exhibit and purchase a flat-file cabinet to safely store student work. The campaign runs December 2–11, 2025, or 10 days of Giving. Find the GiveOrcas Catalog here: https://oicf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/list/grant
