Natural dye has been used for the table runner & tapestry (slide 10). The Mahogany tree bark (Corteza de Caoba) produces orange, red, & brown colors that is used to dye the cotton clothes. When the tree bark dye is combined with mud (barro) this combination makes the color black, as seen on the table runner. The tree bark and mud are from the Peruvian region.
