I was invited as a guest artist in a all woman artist exhibition. When the email arrived to me, I was shocked; this would be my first ever exhibition where I would showcase my artwork. I was nervous, but very excited too.
I had six months to create new pieces for this event where I wanted to take the image of us woman, what we are, what we emcompases - that is so broad, into my paintings. At the same time that I explored and worked on the pieces, I fell in love with the style of abstract expressionism, making it one of my favorite art styles.
My paints where showedcase for a whole month in the art gallery called: "Vista Alegre" in the town of Aibonito, P.R.
This was an opportunity for me to see how the dinamic of exhibitions are, interact with others interested in the arts, and get my artwork out there for more people to see.
But, most importantly, I was calm because my close group of important people where there for me.
