This toolkit was developed as a follow-up resource to the Art and Testimony Webinar Series 2024, held from January to November 2024. Check out our website for the rest of our Public Scholarship Toolkits.
We are grateful to our discussants whose expertise, knowledge, and experience shaped the making of this toolkit, and without whom this toolkit would not be possible. Further down this page is a list of contributors and our contact information for the Public Humanities Hub.
The header image for this toolkit is Barbara Yelin's illustration from But I Live: Three Stories of Child Survivors of the Holocaust (2022).
This toolkit was co-produced across two campuses, the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria. We acknowledge that UBC is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking [in English: Halkomelem] Musqueam people, land on which we are uninvited guests and which has been a site of learning and exchange for time immemorial. We acknowledge and respect the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples on whose traditional territory the University of Victoria stands and the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
