ARSID meets Companies
With the support of the Italian Embassy in Denmark and of the Italian Institute of Culture in Denmark, ARSID (Associazione Ricercatori e Scienziati Italiani in Danimarca - Association of Italian Researchers and Scientists in Denmark) invites to an event where ARSID members and other interested researchers and scientists in Denmark meet with industrial companies for networking in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Representatives from high-tech companies will present their company and an interesting project that scientists are currently carrying out at the company. After the presentations, a networking buffet with Italian food and wine will be the frame for exchanging information and creating good contacts between the companies and the participants.
The event is held in English.

Title of the Seminar: Italian Women Researchers in Denmark: experiences and learnings
The Italian Women Researchers in Denmark: Experiences and Learnings seminar, hosted by ARSID, celebrated the achievements and insights of Italian women in science, bringing together over 80 attendees for an evening of shared ideas and cross-disciplinary inspiration. The event featured presentations by four distinguished Italian researchers: Dr. Elisa Bassignana from the IT University of Copenhagen, Dr. Anna Maria Sempreviva from the Technical University of Denmark, Prof. Ada Scupola from Roskilde University, and Assoc. Prof. Chiara Francavilla from the Technical University of Denmark. Their work spans fields from digital transformation to sustainability and biotechnology, exemplifying the power of international collaboration to drive scientific and societal advancement.
We extend our gratitude to H.E. Stefania Rosini, Italian Ambassador to Denmark, for her presence and to Rina Yahya for her invaluable efforts in facilitating this successful gathering.

Visit to DTU FoodLab and DTU Skylab
At DTU Skylab, the convergence of technologies and talent from different fields, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset, creates a unique culture of learning and innovation for everyone involved in our community. DTU Skylab is located at the main DTU Campus in Lyngby and is housed in a facility of 5500 square meters, complete with labs, workshops, auditoriums, open spaces and project rooms. We are a cross-disciplinary learning environment used by various institutes at DTU, and we also offer soft funding, business acceleration, prototyping and a space to grow for deep tech start-ups and pre start-up projects. DTU Skylab also host many extra-curricular events and programmes initiated by our staff and wider community.

BIRD (Best Italian Researcher in Denmark) Award 2022, V Edition
The three BIRD winners will be awarded on September 14th (h18:00) at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura (Gjørlingsvej 11, 2900 Hellerup).
The award is given to Italian researchers operating in Denmark who received part of their education in Italy, in recognition of innovative research conducted in each of the three European Research Council (ERC) domains:
Physical and Engineering Sciences (PE)
Life Sciences (LS)
Social Sciences and Humanities (SH)

1st ARSID Seminar
On April 21st, we had the first ARSID seminar with Prof. Rubina Raja on the Danish excavations in the Forum of Caesar in Rome and prof. Enrico Cappellini on the analysis of ancient proteins for art, archeology and paleoanthropology.

We had the pleasure of being invited at the Residency of the Italian Ambassador in Denmark, Luigi Ferrari for a meeting event with the representatives of the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) and the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. A great evening of networking and scientific discussions!
