“The 2024-2025 show season was carefully pieced together, but after hours of reading and a few sleepless nights, the lineup has been finalized. As our production group's Artistic Director, my overall objective was to choose stories I felt deserved an audience, were full of complex characters that a wide range of viewers could relate to, all written by female playwrights whose work I was previously unfamiliar with. The 'season standard' of exclusively producing female written plays was inspired by the #5WomenArtists campaign. When I was unable to name 5 female identifying playwrights from memory, but could somehow do so for male identifying playwrights, I dove into researching various women playwrights and read scripts that piqued my curiosity."
