Program designed by Kaitlyn Talsky
"The campers are all finally asleep, and the lake is getting quiet. Have a beer; make a s’more; tell a scary story. Figure out what you’re going to have to do in the morning to keep camp fun and safe without letting the kids find out about... well, you’ve seen the news. I just got a push notification – they’re getting closer.
Following a group of camp counselors trying to mold the leaders of tomorrow when tomorrow is looking bleaker and bleaker, The Grown-Ups explores the traditions that change us, what it takes for us to change them, and how to change yourself when you’re hopelessly, tragically not prepared for this."
— Concord Theatricals
The Grown-Ups performed at The Hill from March 27th through March 29th and had its closing performance at Delta Tau Delta on March 30th, 2024.

Kaitlyn Talsky is currently receiving her dual B.A. in English and Theatre at the University of Georgia, during which she has focused in areas such as musical theatre performance, direction, dramaturgy, and dramatic writing.
The Grown-Ups was Talsky's directorial debut, and since then she has gone onto more ambitious directorial pursuits including a devised piece titled Ladies Men and a musical cabaret that ironically also shared a summer camp theme.
Meanwhile, she has been actively dedicated to the UGA Theatre community, currently serving as AGA's Marketing Director and as Next Act's Content Creator. As a passionate performer, she also makes frequent appearances in department-wide productions such as UGA's 9 to 5 and Next Act's Heathers. Also active elsewhere on campus, she currently works at the University of Georgia Law School and interns at the Georgia Press.

Due to its unique and challenging outdoor setting, The Grown-Ups was graciously hosted by two separate venues during its run!
Its first venue, The Hill, has been a reliable partner to Ars Gratia Artis Theatre since its creation. Unique historical charm and natural scenery make The Hill one of the area’s most captivating event locations. Four period furnished homes have been artfully preserved creating a true architectural treasure amidst idyllic surroundings located a few miles from downtown Athens, GA.
Its second venue, the backyard of the University of Georgia's Delta Tau Delta house, was offered through the generosity of its fraternity. Delta Tau Delta’s Beta Delta Chapter at the University of Georgia was founded in 1882, making them the seventh oldest Fraternity on Campus. Since the founding of their fraternity, the brothers of Delta Tau Delta have focused on upholding the values of brotherhood, leadership, academics, & service.
