Ars Gratia Artis Theatre, more commonly known as "AGA," is a student-run theatre group that exclusively produces straight plays at and around the University of Georgia campus. AGA aims to provide students the opportunity to both attend and participate in quality performances of theatrical works and workshops. In addition, we strive to foster a creative outlet and experimental learning environment for all those involved.
AGA has become notable within the local theatre community for its tradition of putting on works in found spaces—that is, you'll rarely find us in a traditional theatre.
From gardens, to homes, to a campfire in a local backyard, AGA has found that connecting our theatre to the places around us has strengthened our shows and our community.
