The monogram theme was developed into an Art Deco-style badge on which the letters A and C framed a football rather than the letter F, the whole set within a hexagonal border. This early example of a corporate logo, introduced as part of Herbert Chapman's rebranding of the club in the 1930s, was used not only on Cup Final shirts but as a design feature throughout Highbury Stadium, including above the main entrance and inlaid in the floors.[111]From 1967, a white cannon was regularly worn on the shirts, until replaced by the club crest, sometimes with the addition of the nickname "The Gunners", in the 1990s.[110]

The club was founded in the London area of Woolwich in 1886, where the Royal Arsenal, the Royal Artillery Regiment, and many military hospitals were located. For two years, the Arsenal played without a logo, and then they took the coat of arms of Woolwich, where guns were depicted. When the club moved to Highbury in 1913, the guns were left as a brand on the logo. At first, the barrel pictured on the Arsenal logo was directed to the east, then turned west. Today the gunpoint is directed to the east again. Why? No one knows.

Over the next 53 years, the first coat of arms of the Victoria Concordia Crescit remained unchanged, having undergone several cosmetic repairs. In the beginning, more colors were added to the logo, and the decorative motif of the Victoria Concordia Crescit motto was replaced with a more modern one. Also, after a while, various colors of gold were added to the coat of arms, too.

The symbolism of Arsenal FC traces the historical heritage. Most logos depict guns that, for unknown reasons, are deployed either east or west. The only exception is the club badge of the 1930s: the abbreviation AFC in art deco style.

Two years after the debut, the club began to use a logo inspired by the coat of arms of the London district of Woolwich. Three columns decorated with lion heads are guns. They are related to the fact that the team was founded by the workers of the Royal Arsenal factory.

The Arsenal FC logo is written in a sans-serif typeface reminiscent of Clearface Gothic Roman. The designers adapted the original typeface, created in 1984 by Morris Fuller Benton, and redesigned individual characters.

The Arsenal logo has red, dark red, blue, gold, and white colors and a shield-like object with a red center, dark blue edges, and a gold outline. At the center, there is a gold cannon with a white outline. Above it, stands the team name in white letters with a gold outline. The Arsenal logo meaning symbolizes the team name, as well as the crest and military heritage of Woolwich borough (the place where the club originated from).

The Arsenal logo font is a modified version of the Clearface Gothic font. The Clearface Gothic font is used for jersey lettering, player names, numbers, team logo, branding, and merchandise. The Arsenal font was created by Morris Benton.

Here is an updated logo. I made a new banner and corrected the typo. Also the banner is placed over the shield which should sort out the location of the cannon and the gap between it and the bottom of the shield

The very first logo of the club depicts the Woolwich Borough crest with added laurel leaves on the sides. Three vertical cannons with lions heads are placed on the shield with many ribbons coming out of it, where the lettering is located.

The redesign of 1922 brought a simpler and stronger logo, without additional ribbons and other ornate details. It was a single cannon, enclosed in a horizontal oval frame, with the wordmark under it. The cannon was facing right, to the east.

By the end of the previous century, it became obvious that the club needed to update its logo and make it more in line with contemporary design trends. So, in 2001, the Arsenal emblem went through a modification. As a result, the gold gradient was replaced by solid yellow, while the intricate font used for the lettering became much simpler.

While the FC font looks very much like the Clearface Gothic Medium type, the glyphs have been customized to fit the space and the overall concept of the logo. The Clearface Gothic type was developed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1984.

I have these FA4 dummies that were separated when I got them. It was suggested I 3d print something and make a shadow box or other display out of them with a cool Frankford Arsenal logo. They have a sliding weight inside of them.

A potential mistake that has infuriated the many Gunners fans linked to the symbol and meaning of the cannon on social networks. To understand what lies behind this hypothetical oversight, however, we need to analyze the history of the Arsenal logo. The cannon has always been present in the Arsenal crest, except for the period from 1936 to 1949. Initially pointed towards the other, the three cannons of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century became one in 1922, when the gun pointed towards right. But the troubled history of the Arsenal logo - made up of immense legal battles over copyright - has forced the club to change it many times. From 1925 to the final rebranding in 2002, the logo will change eight times and in the latest version the cannon faces east.

The new 2002 logo comes from the need to create a new crest protection after the long legal battle - which reached the Court of Appeal - which saw on one side the London club and on the other Matthew Reed, a salesman of gadget that had used the Arsenal brand. The fact that the cannon now points to the right and not to the left as it was until 2002 stems from a complicated issue of copyright and the inability to use a logo that no longer belongs to Arsenal Football Club.

While it may actually seem like a mistake, the return of the cannon in a different direction is the result of a legal matter. Many have allowed themselves to be misled by the position of the cannon, neglecting the bureaucratic process and the regulation behind a logo.

A prominent U.S. newspaper says Pakistan has doubled its nuclear arms stockpile in recent years to exceed 100 weapons.

The Washington Post reported Monday that Pakistan now has a larger arsenal than its nuclear-armed neighbor and arch-rival India based on estimates provided by non-governmental analysts.

Based on recently accelerated production of plutonium and highly enriched uranium, analyst David Albright of the Institute for Science and International Security told the newspaper that Islamabad may now have up to 110 nuclear weapons.

Two other analysts, Hans Kristensen and Shaun Gregory, put the figure at between 100 and 110.

Experts say Pakistan was driven to accelerate its weapons production after the United States and India signed an agreement in 2008 which gives New Delhi access to civilian nuclear technology. Pakistan is seeking a similar deal.

A defense attache at the Pakistani Embassy in Washington told The Washington Post the number of Pakistan's nuclear weapons and the status of its production facilities are confidential. White House officials would not respond to inquiries about the size of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal.

Pakistan and India conducted nuclear tests in 1998, and have fought three wars since partition and independence in 1947.
