Dr. Asisha Ranjan Pradhan

Welcome

I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad. My research focuses on non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, slurry rheology, and multiphase flow, where I aim to integrate experimental investigations with CFD-based simulations in a balanced manner. During my doctoral studies at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur, I extensively investigated the transportation behaviour of highly concentrated limestone slurry through pumps and pipelines. In addition, I have contributed to research on erosion wear studies, rheological characterisation of materials, and the design of lab-scale test setups. My scholarly contributions include publications in leading SCI/SCIE journals,  granted patent, and active service as a reviewer for reputed international journals. My broader academic vision is to advance energy-efficient and sustainable fluid transport systems.
