On Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th, Pupils, Parents, and Staff all took part in the operation, including camping out, family activities, and fieldcraft. We did this to raise money for the Great Tommy sleepout and we raised over £300 for the RBLI. We were extremely proud of everyone that took part
After Operation Tommy Sleepout we held our awards afternoon where Newly promoted Sergeant Max was awarded the commandant award.
Alongside another award during the awards afternoon Pupil corporal Kyle was awarded the Detachment award. This award is given to a pupil that has been voted for it by all the detachment staff for dedication and upholding all the values and standards.
At the session on the 26th January, one of our youngest pupils Kyle joined the Boughton Monchelsea Detachments NCO Team. The Army Youths Senior Officer Max Berry said: "Well done Kyle. As a Lance Corporal you will grow in your leadership and your confidence. You really do deserve this and the HQ team really appreciate your efforts too. Congratulations!"
This year, all our pupils took part in there local remembrance parade alongside the Armed forces, cadets, veterans and other services. This event is a day of remembrance for those who laid down there lives so we could live a better today.
We had our halloween part planned by the officer commanding. The kids had pizza and games and enjoyed the day by relaxing from normal tasks,
Army youths are very proud to announce our very own commandant has been nominated for an OBE, this is a very well deserved award and we really hopes he is awarded it!
