One of the things almost all religions share is a need to worship. This page may be useful to all, but contains ideas specifically geared to Christian worship.
I see two routes in leading worship through song. First is the use of technology and recordings, and second is the tried and true provision of instrumentation.

Choose an Instrument: You may go with what you know, or learn a new one. The top pick after research is the Soprano or Concert Ukulele. They are moderately resilient, but more important they are portable and cheap. If it gets destroyed in the field which is likely at some point, you can replace it easily.
- Normal cheap ukes are perfectly fine, but you can also get carbon-fiber or plastic ones that are less susceptible to water damage.
Learn how to implement it. I recommend learning without a pick as those get lost in a field environment and you are not shredding, but accompanying singing. I also recommend establishing an SOP for how to transport it. Ruck sacks often are trucked, and tossed around, so put it with the assault pack, but unload it with you gear while out on patrol.

-How to care for an ukulele while backpacking: I can't find a good online resource, but here are a few tips.
1. Get a good quality solid case. You want it to be as nearly airtight as possible. The case is genuinely more important than the instrument itself in this case for backpacking. Don't use a gig bag.
2. Keep the humidity in control. In a damp environment you can use silicone packets in the case. To step up your game, and to deal with arid environments, two way humidity packs (they regulate up or down to a specific humidity) can be used. You want the humidity between 40 and 60%.
1. Choose a playing device and a speaker. I recommend you DO NOT rely on a phone which will blow through battery life. The easiest is an MP3 player with bluetooth, and a bluetooth speaker. Make sure both are waterproof.
-Make sure you have extra batteries or a means of independent charging (such as a solar panel)
2. Download music.

3. Play the music and worship God.
Below are some hymnal ideas, mostly with a field environment in mind (laminated). Note that you can purchase published hymnals for garrison use.
