Army Ethics Issues

I am uniquely interested in those areas in which I deem Army actions to be unethical, and understanding the resulting environment.

Children Issues (Note that an Army CH provides support to families as well)

1 Aug 22- Family friendly drag shows are being offered on military installations and advertised specifically for children (REF,REF,REF).  This is evil on multiple levels, and I will actively work discouraging attendance at any such event.

27 Jun 22- CH Hargis investigated for sending a BDE distro email celebrating Roe vs Wade overturning (REF).

Trans Issues

21 Jun 22- An official Navy video promoted "preferred" pronoun use (REF).  Nothing is mandated yet, but this is an ill-omen.  I will not, under any circumstances, purposefully use pronouns not associated with biological sex.   

7 Jun 22- Beyond PA statements, DoD hosted events openly ISO LGBT are beginning to be held (REF).  Not that my endorser specifically prohibits my attendance at any such event, or even events led by supporters of such beliefs.  I whole heartedly embrace my endorser's rule on this matter.

25 Jun 21- CH Calvert issued a GOMR for criticizing the policy, ultimately retracted (Ref) 

22 Jun 21- "the Army recognizes a Soldier’s gender by the Soldier’s gender marker in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS)." (Ref).  I do not recognize a SM's gender based on DEERs, if I can recognize a SM's gender at all.  I recognize only biological sex IAW my statement of faith, in the same way that a doctor does not provide medical care based on a patient's preference, but medical reality. 

Homosexuality

26 Aug 18- CH Squires recommended for discipline, ultimately dropped, for refusing to perform services (Strong Bonds) for a lesbian (REF)

Freedom of Speach

Nov 14- CH Lawhorn issued a letter of concern for "advocating" Christianity during suicide prevention training (REF), the letter was retracted after political pressure.

Mar 20- CPT Kennedy reprimanded for participating in BLM activities, out of uniform during free time.  I do not support BLM, but I do support the 1st Amendment. (REF)

Early 21- Yarbrough, a Spaceforce Reservist, was reprimanded for a speech in uniform at a private ceremony.  (REF)

Political Ideology Religion shapes politics, ideology is ideology, sincerely held belief is sincerely held belief.

29 Sep 22- Base schools are teaching CRT (REF, REF).  I openly discourage attendance in any public school, and encourage homeschooling.

17 May 21- LTC Lohmeier relieved of command in the Space Force after comments on a podcast criticizing the military for political actions (REF)
