Graduate students: Graduate students can earn a degree through either the Department of Immunology or MMID. For MMID, a minimum of 12 credit hours of microbiology are REQUIRED. Competitive applicants should demonstrate a cGPA of 4.0 (A; international) or 3.5 (B+; domestic) in the most recent 60 credit hours of study, unless additional achievements (publications track record and award success) can be demonstrated. Examples of international cGPA translation can be found HERE. A minimum IELTS English language score of 8.0 in all categories is also required.

THE FOLLOWING FUNDED POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE!

  1. Postdoctoral fellow/research associate: we have one fully funded PDF/RA position available for an experienced PhD graduate as a part of our multi-centre national clinical study examining how gut microbiota mediate host response to fermentable dietary factors in inflammatory bowel diseases. Expertise in microbiome, bioinformatics, gastroenterology (IBD), immunology, mucosal biology, and/or nutrition research will be considered an asset. PDF will be supported to apply for fellowships through Mitacs, tri-council, and other funding agencies and will play a key role in supervising graduate and undergraduate students within the laboratory.

  2. Undergraduate and co-op students: student research projects available beginning September 2023 within the Department of Internal Medicine.
