• Straight MediCAL - NO AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED 

• The burn clinic is on the first floor of the outpatient care building, which is connected to the south side of the hospital.

• To make an appointment, you may call the referral center at 855-229-5533.

• Depending on your insurance, you may need to obtain authorization for referral from your primary care doctor prior to calling for an appointment. Be sure to let your doctor that the burn doctor wants to see you in his clinic.

• Please have your primary care doctor submit a referral eCRM at www.arrowheadregional.org.

• After the authorization is received, expect a call from the referral center.

• You may use over-the-counter acetaminophen and/or ibuprofen as needed for pain control.  Return to the emergency department for worsening pain or if your wounds become infected.

• Please follow up with your primary care provider in the next 2-3 days

• Your insurance may require that you obtain authorization from your primary care provider prior to seeing the oral surgery specialist
