Aris Chalin is an award-winning jazz pianist and keyboardist from Ann Arbor, MI. His musical influences hail as much from classical and jazz as they do from hip-hop, rock, electronic and many more, from Oscar Peterson to Parliament to Pink Floyd. Graduating from Western Michigan University Jazz Studies program in December of 2023, he has performed at several musical showcases nationally and abroad. He has performed and played alongside world-class jazz musicians, such as Chris Potter, säje, Christian McBride, Johnaye Kendrick, Jesus Molina, and more. Aris is currently based in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area and travels around the Midwest to perform. His different groups have been featured in different venues around the area, such as the Blue LLama Jazz Club, Dabney and Co., Merriman’s Playhouse, and the North American International Auto Show COBO Center in Detroit. Aris is also a collaborative partner with Expressive E's "Osmose" keyboard project, bringing their flagship keyboard to live performance.
