Hello! My name is Arina Karipova, and I am a certified educator, language instructor, and lifelong advocate for bilingual education.
Originally from Uzbekistan, I continued my education and professional journey in Russia before making Florida my home. Living and working in multilingual communities has given me a deep appreciation for bilingual education and the importance of preserving children's heritage language while helping them thrive in an English-speaking environment.
As both an educator and a mother raising a bilingual child, I understand the unique opportunities and challenges multilingual families experience. This perspective shapes my teaching and helps me create lessons that are both academically meaningful and personally relevant.
I am a Florida-certified teacher in:
Russian (K–12)
Social Science (6–12)
I am also an Approved Provider with Step Up For Students, allowing eligible homeschooling families in Florida to use scholarship funds for my educational programs in accordance with program guidelines.
In addition, I hold two ACTFL certifications at the Superior level, demonstrating advanced proficiency in the Russian language and professional teaching standards.
I work with children of different ages and language backgrounds, offering instruction in both English and Russian.
My programs include:
Russian as a Heritage Language
Russian as a Foreign Language
Early Childhood Education
Speech and Pronunciation Development (articulation and sound production)
Individual and Group Russian Classes
Book Clubs
Social Studies (U.S. History, World History, Geography, Economics, and Civics)
Homeschool Enrichment Programs
Teaching goes beyond the classroom.
Over the years, I have developed my own collection of educational resources for bilingual children and homeschooling families, including:
Reading Journals
Book Club Journals
Printable worksheets
Grammar games
Vocabulary and speech development materials
Cultural and history projects
Homeschool resources
These materials are designed to make learning engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable while helping children become confident readers and communicators.
I believe children learn best when they are curious, engaged, and feel safe to make mistakes.
Rather than relying on memorization alone, I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, discuss ideas, and develop a genuine love of learning.
My lessons combine language, literature, history, geography, games, projects, and hands-on activities because children remember more when learning is meaningful and connected to the real world.
One of my current projects is building a Russian-language library for families on Florida's Space Coast.
The library includes hundreds of carefully selected books for children, teenagers, and adults—from beloved classics to rare out-of-print editions. My goal is to create a welcoming educational community where families can learn, read, and grow together.
Whether your child is just beginning to learn Russian, maintaining a heritage language, preparing for academic success, or exploring Social Studies, I would be honored to be part of that journey.
I look forward to meeting your family!
