I became a school counselor because I believe every student—regardless of their background, challenges, or circumstances—deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. Education is not just about academics; it’s about fostering resilience, self-confidence, and emotional well-being in a way that embraces the diverse experiences of each student.
Growing up, I saw firsthand how GRIT—the ability to persevere through challenges—can shape a person’s future. Many students face obstacles that go beyond the classroom, and I am passionate about helping them develop the skills and mindset to push forward, no matter what stands in their way. Through Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), I provide intentional interventions that meet students where they are—whether that’s Tier 1 lessons on mental health awareness, Tier 2 small group counseling for social-emotional growth, or Tier 3 individualized support for students facing significant academic or personal challenges.
Diversity is at the core of my work. Every student brings a unique story, culture, and set of experiences, and I strive to create an inclusive and equitable environment where all students feel valued. By working closely with families, educators, and the community, I ensure that students not only receive the academic and emotional support they need but also develop the GRIT to overcome obstacles and build a future full of possibilities.
My "why" is simple: I am here to empower students, champion diversity, and help them cultivate the resilience they need to thrive—not just in school, but in life.
