The Garden Story Project connects books with plants, gardens, nature, hands-on activities, creative projects, and community stewardship—turning stories into experiences that can be shared across generations.
Garden Story Project™ connects books and stories with gardens, plants, nature, creativity, and community learning. Each project invites participants to read, discover, create, observe, grow, and take action through activities that may include gardening, crafts, nature exploration, discussion, and stewardship. Families and organizations can participate at home or use the project model to create their own learning experiences.
Each month, everyone explores a seasonal theme through a carefully selected children's books and adult book. When we gather, children and adults have age-appropriate activities and discussions, then come back together for family projects and community adventures.
Whether you come to read, create, garden, volunteer, or simply spend time together, there's a place for you in our garden.

Calling all young gardeners, nature detectives, and curious explorers!
Our Children's Garden Club brings stories to life through a monthly children's book, hands-on crafts, garden discoveries, and family challenges.
Each month, young members will:
📚 Discover a new children's book
🎨 Create a hands-on craft to take home
🌱 Explore a garden or nature theme
🐞 Investigate the world around them
🌼 Complete a family Grow-Along Challenge
🌎 Participate in community adventures
The children's group meets separately from the adults so our youngest gardeners can learn, explore, and share at their own level.
Every book opens a garden gate—and every young reader gets to decide where the adventure leads.

The Family Garden Club is designed for families who want to experience the magic of both the children's and adult reading adventures together. Each Month will have books for each centered on the same theme.
Each month, your family will have the opportunity to experience:

🎨 A Hands-On Family Project
🌎 A Community Adventure
Parents, caregivers or grandparents can enjoy the adult book while children explore their own story. Then everyone comes back together for activities that connect the two.
For example, an adult book about pollinators might be paired with a children's story about bees. Your family might then:
🐝 Build a pollinator habitat
🌼 Plant flowers together
🎨 Make a bee-themed craft
📚 Compare what the two books taught you
🌱 Visit a local garden
