Patrick is currently an Associate Professor of Instructional Technology in the Reich College of Education at Appalachian State University (Boone, NC, USA). He serves as the Director of the Educational Media Program. Patrick holds a Ph.D. in Urban Studies from Old Dominion University.
Patrick's current research interests are in two areas. The first is the impact of using augmented reality technology in education settings and the second is the design and implementation of distributed learning environments where students are creating rather than consuming content.
In his free time he enjoys traveling and reading.

Tim is a student in the Educational Leadership - Instructional Technology Leadership Doctoral Program at Appalachian State University (Boone, NC, USA). He earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Media from the Reich School of Education at App State.
He graduated with honors from Barry University with a Bachelor's in Public Administration. Prior to entering a career in education, Tim worked for 18 years in county and municipal government.
Aside from research into augmented reality, Tim possesses a great interest in digital literacy as it pertains to younger learners and adaptive/assistive technology.
He currently resides in Western North Carolina.
