Iteration 1
In iteration 1, with the help of design strategies placements of rooms were decided.
Iteration 2
Iteration 2 was more about volumetric design, volume of the space in each room, how will furniture play in the rooms.
Iteration 3
iteration 3 was more about the fenestrations in the building, fenestrations were designed based on the solar ingress.
Iteration 4,
solar ingress helped me to design fenestrations better.
As I approach the house, I’m welcomed by the warmth of the verandah, where the comforting aroma of food fills the air. Stepping inside, light streams through the slits on the southside in the kitchen, creating a gentle path that naturally guides me from the living area to the bedroom. The seating area beckons with its inviting comfort, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Nearby, I catch glimpses of playful activity near the staircase, where refracted light filters in from the roof , bathing the space in a soft, warm glow that lasts throughout the day.
The courtyard seamlessly connects the indoors with the outdoors, allowing soft, indirect light to permeate the bedroom, adding a layer of comfort and serenity. This thoughtful interplay of light and space creates a home that feels harmonious and welcoming, where every room is bathed in warmth and natural light.
