The Archives of Waterloo Park, Norwich

Welcome!

Waterloo Park is a Grade II* listed public park in Norwich, Norfolk, UK. The proposal to create a park was first made in 1892, and the first Waterloo Park opened in 1904. The park was redesigned in the 1930s by Captain Arnold Sandys-Winsch.

The Friends of Waterloo Park are in the process of cataloguing photographs, old documents, newspaper articles, and other items about the park, and this website is being produced to allow many of the items to be accessed online.

Who we are

The Friends of Waterloo Park was formed in 2018. We are a group of local residents who have come together with a view to supporting Norwich City Council in enhancing the beautiful and historic Waterloo Park and enriching the community spirit already present in the park and the surrounding area.

The Friends are registered with the Charity Commission. Our UK Charity Number is 1197568.
