Privacy Policy for Arcade Clock: Wake Up Alarm
Last Updated: August 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Arcade Clock: Wake Up Alarm (“Arcade Clock,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the App.
Arcade Clock is designed to minimize developer access to personal information. The App does not require an Arcade Clock account and does not use an advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, data-broker SDK, or cross-app advertising tracker. Most App data is processed and stored on your device. If iCloud synchronization is enabled, selected App data may be stored in your private iCloud/CloudKit environment through Apple’s infrastructure.
This Policy applies to information handled by the App and to information you voluntarily send to us for support. Apple and other platform or communications providers may separately process information under their own privacy terms.
1. Who Is Responsible for This Policy
For personal information that we control, the data controller or responsible business is:
Developer / Legal Name: Aylin Yahya-zada Sadig
App Store Developer Name: Aylin Yahya-zada
Mailing Address: 28A Najafgulu Rafiyev Street, Apartment 1, Khatai District, Baku, Azerbaijan
Telephone: +994 51 535 07 66
Privacy Email: aaapps.contact.us@gmail.com
When contacting us about privacy, please use “Privacy Request” in the subject line.
2. Quick Summary
- No Arcade Clock account: You do not need to create an account or provide your name, phone number, or email address to use the App’s core features.
- No developer-operated advertising or analytics backend: We do not operate our own advertising, profiling, or behavioral-analytics server for the App.
- No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs: We do not integrate ad networks, cross-app trackers, device-fingerprinting systems, or third-party analytics SDKs.
- Primarily on-device: Your alarms, preferences, challenge settings, and similar App data are primarily stored on your device.
- Optional iCloud/CloudKit: If enabled, selected App data may sync through Apple’s CloudKit to a private database associated with your Apple Account.
- Delete iCloud Backup: Settings includes a Delete iCloud Backup control for permanently deleting the Arcade Clock iCloud backup created through CloudKit.
- Camera: Used for the optional Scan Code challenge. The live camera feed is processed to detect a code; the App does not need to retain photos or video for that function.
- Media access: If you choose a compatible audio item, the App uses only the access needed for that feature and does not grant itself rights to protected third-party music.
- Subscriptions: Apple processes App Store purchases. We do not directly receive your payment-card number or Apple Account password.
- Support: If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include in that message, and email providers process the communication to deliver and store it.
- No sale or targeted-advertising sharing by us: We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Information Handled by the App
3.1 Data You Create in the App
Depending on the features you use, Arcade Clock may process and store on your device information such as:
- alarm times, labels, repeat schedules, snooze settings, and enabled/disabled state;
- selected alarm sounds or compatible user-provided audio references;
- challenge type, challenge difficulty, number of rounds, and related alarm-dismissal settings;
- App preferences such as accent color, clock format, app icon, and penalty settings;
- barcode or QR-code values you intentionally register for a Scan Code challenge; and
- limited local state or history needed to operate challenge rotation, restore settings, or provide App functionality.
We do not automatically transmit this information to a developer-operated server because we do not operate a backend for these core App records.
3.2 Optional iCloud / CloudKit Synchronization
If iCloud is available for your device and Arcade Clock’s iCloud synchronization is enabled, selected App data may be synchronized through Apple CloudKit to a private database associated with your Apple Account.
Depending on the App version and feature, synchronized data may include:
- alarm configuration and labels;
- challenge configuration and registered barcode/QR-code values;
- App preferences such as accent color, clock format, penalty settings, and selected app icon; and
- eligible user-imported audio files or audio-related data that the App is legally and technically permitted to store and synchronize.
Apple Music catalog streams and other protected third-party media are not treated by this Policy as freely exportable files. Arcade Clock does not claim the right to rip, decrypt, convert, upload, or redistribute protected Apple Music catalog content. If the App allows a media selection, that use remains subject to Apple’s technical restrictions, Apple’s terms, and the rights of the relevant copyright holders.
For safety, an alarm’s device-specific enabled/disabled state may remain local rather than being activated automatically on another device.
CloudKit private-database data is handled through Apple’s infrastructure. We do not operate a separate server that receives a copy of your private alarm database. The App may access, update, synchronize, or delete CloudKit data through Apple-provided APIs as necessary to provide iCloud Sync and related user controls.
Arcade Clock provides a Delete iCloud Backup control in Settings. If you confirm deletion, the App requests permanent deletion of the Arcade Clock iCloud backup targeted by that feature. Deleting the iCloud backup does not by itself delete data stored only on your device or cancel an App Store subscription. If iCloud Sync remains enabled, eligible local data may later be synchronized to iCloud again.
3.3 Alarm and Notification Authorization
The App uses Apple’s alarm and notification capabilities, including AlarmKit where available, to schedule and present alarms you configure. Scheduling information is provided to Apple’s operating-system services as necessary to perform the alarm function.
We do not use alarm authorization to build an advertising profile or track you across apps or websites.
3.4 Camera
Camera permission is requested only for functionality that requires scanning a barcode or QR code, such as the optional Scan Code alarm-dismissal challenge.
The camera feed is processed live to identify the code. Arcade Clock does not need to save a photograph or video of the camera feed for this feature. If you intentionally register a code, the decoded code value may be stored locally and, if applicable, synchronized through CloudKit as part of your challenge configuration.
3.5 Media / Music Library Access
If you choose to use a compatible audio-selection feature, the App may request access made available by Apple’s media frameworks so you can select eligible audio.
We do not use media-library access for advertising, profiling, or to collect your general listening history. We do not intentionally collect your unrelated playlists, favorites, or music activity beyond what is technically necessary for the feature you initiate.
The App does not authorize unlawful copying of third-party media and should not be used to bypass digital-rights-management or licensing restrictions. Protected Apple Music catalog content may only be used in ways Apple and the relevant rights holders permit.
3.6 Subscription and Purchase Information
Arcade Clock Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store.
Apple handles payment credentials. We do not directly receive or store your credit-card number, debit-card number, or Apple Account password.
The App may receive subscription-entitlement information from StoreKit, such as whether a relevant subscription entitlement is active, in order to unlock paid features. Because Arcade Clock does not operate its own subscription backend, this entitlement check is primarily handled through Apple’s systems and the App.
Apple may independently process purchase, transaction, fraud-prevention, diagnostic, and App Store usage information under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
3.7 Support Communications
If you choose Contact Us or otherwise send us an email, we receive the information you voluntarily include, which may include:
- your email address;
- your name if included in your email account or signature;
- the contents of your message;
- attachments you choose to send; and
- technical information you choose to include when asking for support.
The App does not require you to send a support email to use its core features. Support messages are transmitted and stored through email infrastructure, including the provider of our support mailbox and your own email provider.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card information, government identification numbers, health records, or other highly sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary for a specific support request.
4. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect Through Our Own App Infrastructure
Arcade Clock does not intentionally operate or integrate systems that collect the following for our own advertising, profiling, or analytics purposes:
- precise or approximate location;
- contacts or address books;
- microphone recordings;
- photo-library contents;
- health or fitness data;
- biometric identifiers;
- government identification numbers;
- financial-account credentials;
- advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking;
- browsing history across unrelated apps or websites; or
- data-broker profiles.
We do not use IDFA-based cross-app advertising, device fingerprinting, or other cross-context behavioral tracking. Because the App does not engage in tracking as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, it does not request ATT permission for advertising tracking.
If you voluntarily include information in a support email, we may receive whatever you choose to send even if that category is not otherwise collected by the App.
5. How We Use Information
We process information only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide and support Arcade Clock, including to:
1. create, store, schedule, and present alarms;
2. operate alarm-dismissal challenges and App preferences;
3. synchronize eligible App data through iCloud/CloudKit when enabled;
4. verify subscription entitlements and restore purchases through Apple;
5. respond to support, privacy, or legal requests you send us;
6. protect the App and our rights against fraud, abuse, infringement, or unlawful activity; and
7. comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
We do not use personal information for targeted advertising, data-broker enrichment, or cross-app/cross-site behavioral profiling.
6. Legal Bases for Processing in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Similar Jurisdictions
Where GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar law applies and we act as a controller, our legal basis depends on the activity:
- Performance of a contract or steps requested by you: where processing is necessary to provide a feature you request, such as responding to a support request or enabling purchased functionality.
- Legitimate interests: where necessary for proportionate support administration, security, fraud prevention, protection of legal rights, or maintaining the App, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- Consent: where applicable law requires consent for a specific permission or processing activity. Device permissions can generally be withdrawn through iOS Settings.
- Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with law, enforce valid legal process, keep records that must legally be retained, or respond to competent authorities.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.
7. How Information Is Disclosed
We do not sell personal information and do not disclose it to advertising networks or data brokers.
Information may be handled or disclosed in the following limited circumstances:
7.1 Apple Platform Services
The App relies on Apple platform services such as iCloud/CloudKit, StoreKit, AlarmKit, system permissions, and the App Store. Apple processes information required to provide those services under Apple’s applicable terms and privacy policy.
7.2 Email and Communications Providers
If you contact us by email, the communication is processed by the email services needed to deliver and store the message, including our support-mailbox provider and your email provider.
7.3 Service Providers Acting for Us
If we use a service provider to process personal information on our behalf, we will require privacy and security protections appropriate to the information and consistent with applicable law. We do not authorize a service provider acting on our behalf to use that information for its own cross-context behavioral advertising.
7.4 Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights
We may disclose information we actually possess if we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, valid legal process, or a competent authority, or is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; investigate fraud or abuse; or protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or the App.
7.5 Business Transfer
If the App or our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information we lawfully hold may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
7.6 With Your Direction or Consent
We may disclose information where you specifically direct us to do so or give valid consent.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
8.1 On-Device Data
On-device App data generally remains until you delete the relevant item, reset/remove the relevant App data, or uninstall the App. Some operating-system backups may be retained by Apple according to your device and iCloud backup settings.
8.2 iCloud / CloudKit Data
Data synchronized through CloudKit may remain in iCloud until it is deleted through Arcade Clock or otherwise removed through Apple’s systems.
Turning off iCloud Sync stops or limits future synchronization but does not necessarily delete a backup that already exists in iCloud.
Arcade Clock provides Delete iCloud Backup in Settings. After you confirm the warning, the App requests permanent deletion of the Arcade Clock iCloud backup targeted by that feature. A successfully deleted backup cannot be restored by us.
Deleting the iCloud backup does not by itself delete data stored only on your device, cancel Arcade Clock Pro, erase Apple’s App Store transaction records, or delete support emails you previously sent to us. If iCloud Sync remains enabled, eligible local data may later be synchronized to iCloud again.
8.3 Support Emails
Support and privacy correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes such as resolving the request, maintaining appropriate support records, preventing abuse, complying with legal obligations, or establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims. When those purposes no longer apply, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize information we no longer need, subject to backup and legal-retention constraints.
8.4 Purchase Information
Apple retains App Store transaction and payment records under Apple’s own retention rules. We do not control Apple’s independent retention of those records.
9. Your Choices and Controls
Depending on your device and App version, you can control much of Arcade Clock’s data directly by:
- deleting alarms or other saved App items;
- changing or deleting registered barcode/QR-code challenge data;
- removing eligible imported audio from within the App where the feature provides that control;
- using Delete iCloud Backup in Arcade Clock Settings to permanently delete the Arcade Clock iCloud backup targeted by that feature;
- turning off Arcade Clock’s iCloud access in iOS Settings;
- revoking Camera, media, alarm, or other permissions through iOS Settings;
- cancelling Arcade Clock Pro through your Apple Account subscription settings; and
- uninstalling the App to remove locally stored App data from the device, subject to device/iCloud backups and separately stored CloudKit data.
Revoking a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
10. Privacy Rights
10.1 EEA / EU, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Where applicable, you may have rights including:
- access to personal data we hold about you;
- correction of inaccurate personal data;
- deletion of personal data;
- restriction of processing;
- objection to certain processing based on legitimate interests;
- portability of data where legally applicable and technically feasible;
- withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent; and
- the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority.
Because much of Arcade Clock’s operational data remains on your device or in your private iCloud environment rather than on a developer-operated server, we may not possess a separate server-side copy that we can identify by your name or email. You can delete the Arcade Clock iCloud backup through Delete iCloud Backup in Settings. We will respond to valid requests concerning personal data that we control, subject to applicable law.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before acting on a rights request. We will not require more information than reasonably necessary for verification.
EU/UK Representative. We are established outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Where Article 27 of the GDPR or the equivalent UK GDPR provision applies, organizations established outside the EEA/UK may be required to designate a local representative. An exemption may apply where the relevant processing is occasional, does not involve large-scale processing of special categories of personal data or data relating to criminal convictions and offences, and is unlikely to result in a risk to individuals’ rights and freedoms, taking into account the nature, context, scope, and purposes of the processing. Based on the limited nature and scope of the personal data we process, we currently consider the applicable exemption to apply. If our processing activities change such that a representative is required, we will designate one in accordance with applicable law.
10.2 California
To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA) applies to us, California residents may have rights to know/access, delete, and correct personal information; to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable; and to receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.
Arcade Clock does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Accordingly, we do not operate a sale/sharing opt-out program for practices we do not engage in.
For transparency, the categories below describe personal information that may be handled in connection with Arcade Clock during the preceding 12 months, depending on how you use the App:
| Category | Examples / Source | Purpose | Typical Recipient(s) | Sold or Shared for Cross-Context Advertising? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Email address or name you voluntarily include in a support message | Support, privacy requests, security, legal compliance | Email/communications providers | No |
| Commercial information | Subscription product or entitlement status made available by StoreKit | Unlocking Pro features, restoring purchases, subscription support | Apple / StoreKit | No |
| Electronic or user-provided content | Support-message text and attachments you choose to send | Responding to your request and maintaining appropriate support records | Email/communications providers | No |
| App configuration data | Alarms, preferences, challenge settings, registered code values, and eligible synced data | Operating the App and optional iCloud synchronization | Primarily your device; Apple CloudKit if synchronization is enabled | No |
We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information for ordinary App use. Please do not send sensitive information in a support request unless it is genuinely necessary.
You may use Delete iCloud Backup in Settings to delete the Arcade Clock iCloud backup targeted by that feature. You may also submit an applicable California privacy request to aaapps.contact.us@gmail.com. If additional request methods are required by applicable law, we will provide them.
10.3 Other U.S. States and Other Jurisdictions
If another applicable privacy law grants you rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or object to certain processing of personal information, you may contact us at the privacy email above. We will honor applicable rights subject to lawful exceptions and verification requirements.
11. Children’s Privacy
Arcade Clock is a general-audience utility and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner that would require parental consent under applicable children’s privacy laws, including the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where applicable.
The App does not require account creation and does not ask users to submit age, name, email address, or other registration details to use its core alarm features.
If we obtain actual knowledge that a child has provided personal information to us in circumstances where applicable law requires parental consent or deletion, we will take reasonable steps to comply with those requirements. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information to us may contact aaapps.contact.us@gmail.com.
We apply any age-related consent or privacy requirements according to the laws applicable in the relevant jurisdiction.
12. International Data Transfers
Apple, email providers, and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their processing is subject to their own privacy terms and applicable transfer mechanisms.
Where we transfer personal information for which we are responsible across borders and applicable law requires safeguards, we will use a legally recognized transfer mechanism or other lawful basis appropriate to the transfer.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the limited information we handle. The App also relies on Apple’s iOS sandboxing, device security, and CloudKit security mechanisms for relevant on-device and iCloud data.
However, no device, software, storage system, email service, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, device passcode, Apple Account, email account, and backups.
14. Third-Party Links and Other Apps
Arcade Clock may contain links to the App Store, to other apps we publish, or to third-party destinations. A third-party app or website has its own privacy practices and terms. This Privacy Policy does not govern information collected independently by another app, website, or service.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, platform requirements, or our privacy practices.
When we make a material change, we will update the Last Updated date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law. Materially different processing will not be applied retroactively where doing so would violate applicable law.
