REGENERATION
"It is just how much it tends to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of the biotic community"
Aldo Leopold
SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
"Culture is generally believed to be something created, maintained, and developed only through human effort. But culture originates from the association between man and nature ".

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
ON THE WAY TO THE 2030 AGENDA
FROM CONSERVATION TO REGENERATION OF PLANETARY ECOSYSTEMS
In biology, the word regeneration refers to the process and the result of getting a living being to recover its state or form. This concept of regeneration applies to any living being, be it animal, plant, mineral, or human.
We find ourselves with the joy of knowing that in nature we find that the capacity for regeneration encompasses a greater number of organisms, more than we thought, regenerative movements around the planet give us proof of it.
In recent years and in an increasingly growing way, environmental organizations have turned their work, no longer, to protect and conserve certain areas only, or to restore certain habitats, now they do so by emphasizing the regeneration of deteriorated ecosystems, and Incredible as it may sound, it has been proven possible to do so.
Although the current environmental panorama in the world at first glance is not very encouraging, there are models of ecological design taken to the field where the priority is life as a whole and is approached from there.
Quoting David W. Orr. Environmentalist, in the prologue of the book Designing Regenerative Cultures by Daniel Christian Wahl, tells us:
"… As Wahl describes, in general terms the art of eco-design is flourishing. It is transforming agriculture, construction, transportation, manufacturing, and planning in ways that are favorable to the Earth's ecology and systems. Their common characteristics are the use of nature as a model for design, the maximum use of solar energy, the conservation of biological and cultural diversity, and full cost accounting. Ecodesign is no longer a distant possibility, it is happening all over the world. It is practical and not theoretical ".
Today we are faced with the possibility of placing our eyes on what we can do here and now, it is no longer the time to lament or point the finger to locate the culprits of the disaster. Today more than in any other time in the past, if we want to, we can start the path of regeneration of the earth as a whole, turn our gaze to life, to all that is alive, and can build ourselves anew from the arts, sciences, the heart, mind, from within, united and allied.

AN ORGANIC AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE IS POSSIBLE
Day by day agricultural production systems present us with new challenges in terms of climate change, which does not allow certain cycles of rains and droughts to occur, also due to the growing need for changes that address the conservation and care of all the natural resources that we have as inhabitants of planet earth.
Experts advise making various adjustments in our way of assuming food production, including FAO, promoting consensus and joint work by all (public and private institutions, scientific and academic communities, and local populations) to achieve agriculture that is sustainable and in line with the new times.
In the hands of farmers is the livelihood and food of the world population, at the same time the new agriculture acts as a promoter of the health of ecosystems, supporting the sustainability of the land, water, and all the resources that intervene in the food production.
Proper management of natural resources in agriculture serves to ensure that future generations can enjoy food, health, and social and economic equity.
Currently, local markets have become the most sustainable and timely alternative that helps us reduce our carbon footprint and protect local production, as well as providing the economic mobility so necessary in each region to achieve autonomy.
Although it seems a titanic task, the decision of each individual to actively participate in change is fundamental, the governance mechanisms are dictated, it is in our hands to start the work creating networks, training more and more people in the various agricultural systems sustainable, implementing and accompanying our localities in improving old agricultural production practices, at the same time highlighting traditional ecological knowledge that has been forgotten and raising awareness in the care of natural resources.
The challenge that is presented to us is very interesting, not only because giving up is not an alternative but also because of the ease we have of knowing and publicizing the new milestones in ecological agriculture, clean productions that can restore our ecosystems and provide us with of healthy food.
Some more than positive and widely proven experiences in the field of sustainable agriculture include models of the ecological design of crops, preservation of native and organic seeds, an alliance of crops, agri-food forests, among many others.
It is possible to make the change, to go from chemical and toxic agriculture that has damaged ecosystems and has contributed to the detriment of the health and quality of life of human beings to a clean, sustainable, nutritious, and friendly production with the planet.

WE CAN ALL CONTRIBUTE TO THE RESTORATION OF THE EARTH
Nature is inexhaustibly sustainable if we take care of it. It is our responsibility to pass a healthy Earth to future generations.
Sylvia Dolson
Living beings have been grouped by nature into habitats and in those natural spaces we coexist with each other, we serve each other to achieve evolution, growth, and health.
Each individual is of vital importance for the balance of the entire environment where it is found and in turn, each habitat has a close relationship with the rest of the ecosystems of the planet. No species is expendable, its care and conservation provide balance and sustenance for the rest of the individuals.
Environmental organizations have been making this call for decades, today we are calling again for the restoration of ecosystems.
Ecological restoration consists of the recovery of ecosystems that have been altered, deteriorated, or destroyed, its objective is to conserve what remains of them and replace the lost natural capital, it also seeks the restitution of ecosystem services that were produced in the past to that they are once again used by individuals of all species and by their future generations.
To achieve an ecological restoration that thrives and is maintained over time, all the elements present in each ecosystem must be considered as fundamental parts of its functioning and vitality.
Contemplating the improvement of the social, economic, physical, and cultural aspects of each region, promoting effective and progressive relationships between human beings and the landscapes in which they inhabit are essential aspects to achieve a successful restoration.
In the preservation of ecosystems, there are threats such as climate change, floods, and erosion which can be mitigated through the implementation of joint actions and strategies.
In this way, in restoration we can meet, men and women regardless of age, traditional knowledge and new technologies, the memory of the ecosystem, soil, water, plants, microorganisms, animals, with the certainty that we are interconnected with each other. and with nature.
Human beings are the species in charge of renewing, regenerating, and restoring the planet, we are part of it and above all, we are united with everyone in the desire to improve life on earth.
