Dr. Araf Mim Ahmed Smrity completed his PhD in Systems Engineering (Concentration: Mechanical Engineering) at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, in Summer 2025, under the supervision of Dr. Peng 'Solomon' Yin, specializing in molecular dynamics simulations for investigating the stability and thermophysical properties of mono and hybrid nanofluids. His research aims to innovate advanced cooling systems and renewable energy solutions. He has received several prestigious awards & doctoral grants, and worked in several funded projects, including from the LaSPACE and ASHRAE, highlighting his excellence in research and innovation. Araf is currently working as Workforce Development Coordinator at the Enegery Institute of Louisiana, University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Araf also possesses professional R&D experience from Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd., where he worked on air conditioning system optimization, leveraging expertise in design, lean manufacturing, and process improvement.
