WELCOME

It is with great pleasure that I welcome students, teachers, parents and friends to the 2024 CSNSW Sport Aquathlon!

Students from Catholic primary and secondary schools representing 12 diocese/associations from across New South Wales are competing today. This is an outstanding achievement that recognises the great commitment and dedication of the 150 students who have entered this event.

Catholic Schools NSW Sport has partnered with NSW Triathlon to provide school aged students of all abilities the opportunity to challenge themselves in a unique and fun event. Aquathlon is a multi-sport discipline combining swimming and running with a transition with minimal cost and little equipment needed. Swimming and running are fundamental sport and life long activities. By providing this opportunity students may grow a love for the sport and pursue further representation in Aquathlon and/or triathlon.

Finally, thank you to all who have contributed to the success of this event. An event such as this cannot go ahead without the support of the many principals, sports coordinators, teachers, parents and volunteers who have given their time to prepare our students for today.

I wish all competitors and officials a very successful and rewarding day.
