In the summer of my 3rd year at UW, I became an HR Assistant Intern for Amazon in Joliet, IL. Although not highlighted as a big part of my leadership journey, it was a very important part of me becoming a better leader. In my role, I learned about the kind of leadership I wanted to continue after college. During my time in the role, I had to complete a Learning and Development project at the site. My project focused on creating a learning library for the Area Managers and find a way to effectively educate them on support subjects. In the end, I created Support Spotlight, a method of educating the managers through hands-on and lecture-based teaching. I also took it upon myself to not only support the managers at my site but also educate the associates on how to use the Amazon A-to-Z platform. I created learning tutorials for the associates to navigate through the site with ease. Additionally, I set it upon myself to create a more effective Amazon A-to-Z hub by organizing it and creating visuals that helped with the associates' learning.
