June Young Kim, Assistant Professor
Welcome to the Advanced Plasma Technology Lab!
Prof. June Young Kim leads the forefront of research as an Assistant Professor in the Department of AI Semiconductor Engineering at Korea University. Before joining Korea University in 2023, Prof. Kim dedicated his expertise to Seoul National University's Department of Energy Systems Engineering as a Postdoctoral Fellow during 2019-2020, followed by a prominent role as a Research Professor from 2020 to 2023. He received his Ph.D. in Energy Systems Engineering from Seoul National University in 2019 and proudly holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Hanyang University.
Prof. Kim is esteemed for his profound expertise in:
Plasma Source: Investigating the underlying principles and practical applications of plasma sources science.
Plasma Kinetics: Analyzing the kinetic behaviors and interactions of charged particles within plasmas.
Machine Learning-based Plasma Diagnostics: Developing next-generation diagnostic techniques that utilize artificial intelligence to precisely analyze and monitor plasma states.
Instability and Transport Dynamics: Unraveling disturbances in plasma states and understanding the ensuing effects on particle transport.
Under Prof. Kim's visionary leadership, the Advanced Plasma Technology Lab is on a mission to bridge innovations in plasma technology with advancements in AI semiconductor engineering.
