APSEA Local Benevolent Fund
1. The Benevolent Fund will exist when funds are provided in the APSEA Local Budget for any fiscal year.
2. The APSEA Local Benevolent Fund provides financial assistance for a member and family where there is little or no protection through pension, sick leave, credit union, medical services benefits, insurance, banks, etc.
3. Requests should be made in writing to the President of the APSEA Local.
4. The APSEA Local Executive shall review any Benevolent Fund Requests (see note below).
Note - This application will remain confidential; all identifying information will not be shared with the Local Executive. The only two Executive members to know who is requesting the fund are the Local President and the Treasurer, as we need two signatures on all cheques.
$500 limit per request.
One-time payout per incident, but no limit on the number of incidents for which a member may apply.
The local president keeps a running record of who gets the fund, which is decided on a case by case basis by our Local Executive.
