Dr. Koro began his term as Program Director February 1, 2024 and is a Fellowship trained GI pathologist. He is a recent graduate of this program (2017) and throughout his residency demonstrated a strong interest in leadership and resident teaching.
He joined our faculty in 2018 and has continued to demonstrate his devotion to teaching in our department. He was awarded the "Teacher of the Year" in AY 2018/2019.
Dr. Flaman is a graduate of the University of Ottawa’s Anatomical Pathology Program. She is a fellowship-trained dermatopathologist and bone/soft tissue pathologist based at FMC and DSC.
She has a strong background and interest in medical education, and taught a USCAP course about using adult learning theories to improve workplace-based resident teaching.
In addition to her role as Curriculum Lead she also serves as one of the Core of Discipline Academic Advisors on the Competence Committee.
Dr. Hyrcza completed his Anatomical Pathology Residency at the University of British Columbia in 2015. He has a sub-specialty interest in Head and Neck Pathology, Endocrine & Ophthalmopathology.
In addition to his role on the Competence Committee as the Transition to Discipline Academic Advisor, he is the current DMP Resident Research Coordinator.
