Aprel Mendenhall Portfolio

Aprel Mendenhall is a skilled Instructional Designer. She has over 10 years of experience in curriculum design and development. Aprel earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Utah State University. During her fourteen-year teaching career, she enjoyed interacting with thousands of children and adults at Utah Valley University and in Cache County and Nebo School Districts.

In 2018, Aprel returned to Utah State University to pursue a Master of Education in Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences. She was recognized as a 2019 AECT Design & Development Competition Finalist and the Best Presentation winner for her design of a microlearning mobile application for NATO. She has immensely enjoyed the online program and graduated in December 2020.

Aprel has worked as a private instructional design consultant for Goalbook, National Institute of Jail Operations, and Utah State University. She is currently employed as the Director of Instructional Design at American Heritage School in American Fork, Utah. She and her husband, Cory, are the parents of four children. They enjoy traveling and making music together.
