High quality whispering gallery mode (WGM) resonators made from non-linear electro-optic crystals are excellent platforms for frequency manipulation of electromagnetic radiation. I will present our work on all-resonant and phase-matched non-linear interactions between different frequency domains from the microwave through THz to near infrared and visible light. Thereby touching collaborative efforts within New Zealand on projects involving the connection of superconducting quantum computers based on microwave to optical transduction, the detection of climate gasses in the atmosphere from space by picking up faint THz radiation from molecules like ozone, and optical frequency combs and dual frequency combs.
