BLACS now has a dedicated activity page on the new Blokes Lounge web site at https://blokeslounge.org.au/BLACS which requires a membership login. Upcoming BLACS meeting dates are listed there.

Future meeting information and day-to-day conversations for BLACS are always available on the BLACS WhatsApp group. Details for joining the group are given below.

In-person BLACS meetings resumed from Monday 3 August 2020 at KDV Sports. Just turn up and chat with fellow BLACS.

Zoom Meetings

Check out the Zoom page and get your phone or laptop set up with the Zoom app to participate in Zoom meetings.

Zoom meetings for BLACS were conducted for several weeks but the 40-minute limit resulted in a new Zoom Lounge Group being formed with paid subscriptions for a Zoom licence.

Zoom Meeting 3 Monday 20 April 2020

Talked about Zoom security, the use of lens cap/blockers on cameras/webcams when not in use, and various articles on Zoom security or lack thereof. Michael showed his USB LED light strip around his monitor to provide facial light during meetings. Running into Zoom meeting length limitations it was decided to put up $20/person to buy a commercial Zoom licence - Gary will collect contributions and buy and operate the licence.

Zoom Meeting 1 Monday 6 April 2020

Tried out many features of Zoom. Discussed inviting all members to a Bloke's Lounge all points Zoom meeting. Agreed to weekly BLACS Zooms on Monday at 2.30 pm. John B admitted this is the first time he could hear the conversation at a BLACS meeting!
