Apps4Fun Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") operates a portfolio of mobile applications available on the Google Play Store (collectively, the "Services" or "Apps"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use any of our mobile applications.
By accessing or using the Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
To provide the core functionality of Caller ID and Number Lookup, our app requires specific Android permissions. We request these strictly for app functionality:
Call Logs & Phone State (READ_CALL_LOG, READ_PHONE_STATE): We require this permission to detect incoming and outgoing calls in real-time. This allows the app to trigger the Caller ID overlay and perform a background lookup of unknown numbers. We do not record your phone conversations or upload your call history to our servers.
Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): We access your contacts locally on your device to determine if an incoming number is already saved in your phonebook. If it is saved, we bypass the third-party network lookup. Your contact list is not sold, rented, or shared with third-party marketers.
Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Used exclusively to display the Caller ID interface (the post-call and active-call overlay) over your device's screen when a call is detected.
If an App you downloaded does not require these features, these permissions will not be requested.
A. Information Collected Automatically:
Device & Usage Information: We collect information such as your device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, advertising ID (for AdMob), and IP address.
Crash & Performance Data: We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability. This data is anonymized and used solely to fix bugs (e.g., ANRs and exceptions) across our portfolio.
B. Data Processed via Third-Party APIs: For Apps featuring number lookup capabilities, when a search is initiated for an unknown number, the phone number is securely transmitted to our third-party data providers (Rapid API and its underlying data vendors) to retrieve carrier, area code, and spam likelihood data.
We use the information we collect to:
Provide the core functionality of the specific App you downloaded (e.g., identifying unknown callers, displaying spam warnings).
Serve relevant, non-intrusive advertisements via Google AdMob.
Analyze usage trends and improve the UI/UX across our Apps via Google Analytics for Firebase.
Ensure technical compliance and monitor for fraudulent API usage.
We utilize Tier-1 third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Please review their respective privacy policies:
We retain analytical and diagnostic data only as long as necessary to provide our Services.
User Account Deletion: If an App implements a user account system, you have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data.
Local Data: Call history, app settings, and cached data are stored locally on your device. You can clear this data at any time by clearing the specific App's cache/storage in your Android settings.
IMPORTANT: Third-Party Directory Opt-Outs For our caller identification Apps: Apps4Fun Inc. does not own, build, or maintain the caller identification database. We act as a search conduit utilizing third-party public data aggregators. If you wish to have your phone number and name removed from the public directory results, we cannot delete it from the source database. You must submit an opt-out or removal request directly to the underlying data provider or public record aggregator that hosts the information.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
Right to Access & Portability: You can request copies of your personal data.
Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can request that we erase your personal data under certain conditions.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not "sell" your personal information as defined by the CCPA. However, we do use AdMob for advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads via your Android Device Settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads > Delete advertising ID).
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
We prohibit users from creating, uploading, or distributing content that facilitates the exploitation or abuse of children, including all child sexual abuse materials
We prohibit other content that is harmful or inappropriate for our users, per the Inappropriate Content policy.
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in Android OS requirements, new App releases, or legal standards. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
