Privacy Policy for BaseCalc

This Privacy Policy describes how BaseCalc ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application. BaseCalc is a calculator application offering multiple calculation tools — including base conversion (Base 2, 5, 8 & 10), a standard calculator, prime number factorization, prime number listing, HCF & LCM calculation, subset generation, and more — and allows you to save your calculation history within the app.
By using BaseCalc, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Current Version
BaseCalc, in its current version, does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The App does not request any device permissions.
All calculations you perform and choose to save are stored locally on your device only, using the app's internal database. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and we have no access to it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing app data, will permanently delete this locally stored information.
We do not require account creation, and we do not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, or location data in the current version.
Future Versions
We plan to introduce additional features in future updates, which may change the information the App collects. This Privacy Policy will be updated in advance of any such release, and, where required by law, we will request your explicit consent before the new data collection begins. Planned features include:
Camera Access: A future version may request camera permission to let you photograph a math problem so the App can recognize and solve it automatically. Images captured for this purpose would be processed to extract the problem and would not be stored or transmitted beyond what is necessary to perform that function, unless a future policy update states otherwise.
In-App Purchases / Subscriptions: A future version may offer a one-time paid unlock or a subscription. Purchases would be processed through the Google Play Billing system. We would not directly collect or store your payment card details — these are handled by Google Play in accordance with Google's own privacy policy.
Advertising: A future version may display ads through a third-party advertising network (e.g., Google AdMob). Ad providers may collect information such as advertising identifiers and general usage data to serve and measure ads, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
2. How We Use Information
Any information described above (current or future) is used solely to:
Provide and operate the App's core functionality (performing and saving calculations)
Enable optional future features you choose to use (e.g., image-based problem solving)
Process optional future purchases or subscriptions
Display optional future advertising, where applicable
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Data Storage and Security
Locally saved calculation history is stored only on your device and is not backed up to our servers, because we do not operate any servers that receive App data. We take reasonable measures consistent with standard Android app practices to protect any data the App may handle in future versions, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
The current version of BaseCalc does not integrate with any third-party services. Future versions may integrate with:
Google Play Billing (for in-app purchases/subscriptions)
Google AdMob or similar ad networks (for displaying ads)
When these integrations are added, this policy will be updated to name the specific services in use and link to their respective privacy policies.
5. Children's Privacy
BaseCalc is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.
6. Your Choices
Because the current version stores data only on your device, you can delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage/cache through your device's app settings. If a future version introduces camera access or other permissions, you will be able to grant or deny those permissions through your device's settings at any time.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as new features (such as camera-based problem solving, ads, or purchases) are introduced. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
