By accessing or using our browser-based cloud streaming platform, application sandboxes, and virtual desktop environments (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing AppsOnline, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
AppsOnline provides temporary, browser-based, containerized desktop environments and applications using open-source infrastructure (including Docker, Kasm Workspaces, and Apache Guacamole).
Disposable Sessions: Each session is temporary and non-persistent. Closing your browser tab or letting a session time out will result in the immediate and permanent deletion of the container and any unsaved files or configuration changes.
No Ad-Ware: The Service is committed to providing a clean, ad-free environment for developer testing, education, and exploration.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service only for lawful, legitimate development, testing, and educational purposes. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
Illegal Activities: Utilizing the Service to distribute malware, host phishing campaigns, or engage in any form of cyberattack, scanning, or unauthorized network penetration testing.
Resource Abuse & Exploitation: Running cryptocurrency mining scripts, hosting persistent public web servers, or deliberately attempt to consume disproportionate CPU, RAM, or bandwidth resources to degrade service performance for others.
Insider Threat Simulation & Malicious Attacks: Attempting to bypass the sandbox boundaries, gain root privilege escalation on the underlying host nodes, exploit web window managers, or manipulate the platform's authentication systems (such as Cloudflare Access or GitHub OAuth pathways).
Illegal Content: Accessing, downloading, or transmitting any material that violates intellectual property laws, rights of privacy, or criminal statutes.
4. Account Security & Third-Party Authentication
If certain features require authentication via Cloudflare Access, GitHub OAuth, or other administrative login protocols:
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your session tokens and credentials.
You agree to notify the administrator immediately of any unauthorized use of your credentials or any other breach of platform security.
5. Intellectual Property
Platform Ownership: All custom code, design elements, logos, and infrastructure configurations unique to AppsOnline remain the exclusive property of the site operator.
Third-Party Open Source: The underlying software components (Docker, Kasm, Apache Guacamole, etc.) are governed by their respective open-source licenses.
User Content: AppsOnline claims no ownership over any source code, scripts, or data you temporarily pull into your ephemeral container during a session.
6. Termination of Access
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without liability or prior notice, to terminate or restrict your access to the Service, block specific IP subnets, or force-kill active container sessions if we suspect a violation of these Terms or any activity that threatens the structural stability and security of our AWS hosting or edge proxy infrastructure.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPSONLINE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, FREE OF COMPONENT CUTOFFS, FREE OF 500 SERVER ERRORS, OR ABSOLUTELY COMPATIBLE WITH ALL MOBILE AND DESKTOP CROSS-BROWSER CONFIGURATIONS.
8. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL APPSONLINE, ITS OPERATOR, OR ITS INFRASTRUCTURE CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF UNSAVED SANDBOX DATA, DOWNTIME COSTS, OR HARDWARE ISSUES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
