The quality of educational systems in Sub-Sarahan Africa is a matter of concern for all education stakeholders.
Assessments conducted by the Program for the Analisis of Educational Systems of CONFEMEN (PASEC) provide crucial evidence-based data to inform policies and support the implementation of targeted educational reforms. Combined with the new evaluation cycle of PASEC2024, this will provide an opportunity to contribute to the improvement of learning in primary education in Africa and further propelling the efforts that came out throughout the African Union Year of Education.
It is within this dynamic that the CONFEMEN, through its PASEC program, organizes the Forum “Apprendre pour Demain” (Learn for Tomorrow).
This event, organized with the support of the Gates Foundation, will be held in Dakar from January 28-30 2025. It will be focused on improving primary education learning in Sub-Saharan Africa and will bring together around forty representatives from the 21 countries participating in PASEC2024 assessment, a large Senegalese delegation composed of the Ministry of National Education, technical and financial partners, representatives of civil society, researchers and experts.
Apprendre pour Demain aims to strengthen dialogue between African countries, pool efforts, learn from each other, and exchange on successful reforms and best practices, to build a solid education for today's and tomorrow's youth.
