Our FY2022 Yearly Overview is Out
“The Village” is an incubation space for grassroots community organizations developed and supported by The Metro Nashville Mayor’s Office and The Center for Nonprofit Management.
The mission of this space is to provide a safe location for leaders of grassroots community organizations from marginalized communities, identities, or lived experiences to thrive, connect with peers, gain access to resources, wisdom, funding, and power.
We affirm the identities and lived experience of all who enter The Village, and we will do our best to protect this space from oppression, including anti-blackness, religious discrimination, misogyny, homophobia, ableism, classism, and all other forms of disrespect and bias.
We don’t need to always agree, but we must respect the humanity of us all. We hold this community to high standards so that we can build a better society than the one that has oppressed us. It takes a village to raise a child, and it takes many villages to change the world.
Now let’s get started.
