“As someone who has always been passionate about science, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology – Genetics, and in 2019, I moved to Canada to pursue a Master’s degree in this field at the University of Manitoba. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work at some of Canada’s leading research institutions, including NeuroEDDU and the University Health Network (UHN). I am proud to have joined the University of Toronto, where I am currently part of the ApOC team. In my role, I work with human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) to generate three-dimensional brain organoid models, which are used to study human brain development and disease."
