There are two avenues for printing Appleseeds materials: on your own or professionally.
Appleseeds can be printed on your own. Appleseeds digital materials are free and available to everyone. You can print Appleseeds using your own paper and printing device. For printing individual pages or single items, or for small batch printing, we recommend that you use the links on each grade level page. Please note that the Big Books (Grades K and 1 only) are for digital projection.
Appleseeds can be printed professionally. Appleseeds materials are free and available to everyone and the Printing Guidance for Appleseeds Materials is specifically intended for those who want to have the materials professionally printed. Please know that you will need to select a printer, place an order based upon your specific needs, and then pay the printer you worked with directly for the services you ordered. DESE has made the new and improved CKLA Skills Readers available digitally. For campuses or educators who want print materials, they can self-print at a local printer or order directly from Amplify. Amplify is the commercial publisher of CKLA and is equipped to print and ship the readers in kits and individually, at a cost-effective price, at scale for immediate use. These printers are part of a DESE statewide contract, are already knowledgeable of the Appleseeds materials and the related print specifications (linked below), and can copy, print, and ship the materials to any school in Massachusetts.
