The Story:​​

An emotionally distant mother, Nic, must overcome the effects of past abuse in order to protect her daughter, Carrie, from a supernatural threat that may or may not exist.

This year our proceeds will be benefiting Apna Ghar, a social services nonprofit that provides services and advocates across immigrant communities to end gender violence.

Apna Ghar is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, case management, and numerous other services to survivors of domestic abuse in the Chicago area. Many clients are immigrants, some of whom have also suffered the traumas of war and dislocation. 85% come from low-income households. Apna Ghar's services are free and offered in multiple languages to accommodate any survivor.
