An independent, apolitical and committed Parent Collective, serving all LFIP families, from Preschool to High School.
To listen to families, keep them informed, support and represent them, with one shared objective: to contribute to the well-being, success and peace of mind of every student.
To foster a supportive, transparent school community that remains close to families, built on listening, dialogue and trust, where everyone can find their place and express themselves with mutual respect.
APPI is an independent collective of elected parent representatives and volunteers, open to all families, with no membership requirement.
Elected parent representatives from an independent collective have the same rights, the same mandate and the same legitimacy as elected parent representatives from an association, in accordance with the official framework governing parent representation.
The difference is solely legal whether or not the group has formal association status and does not affect its electoral or representative legitimacy, in accordance with French Ministry of Education Circular No. 2014-120 of 16 September 2014.
APPI acts with complete independence, while respecting the applicable rules, LFIP’s governing bodies and everyone’s respective roles.
Our guiding principle is simple: listen before acting, choose dialogue over confrontation, and seek constructive solutions, always in the best interests of students and families.
💗 To be present, approachable and by your side.
APPI acts as an active link between families and the LFIP.
Our work is built around four essential missions:
Be available to families, listen to their needs, questions and concerns, and support them whenever they face a particular situation.
Facilitate the sharing of useful information and foster clear, respectful and constructive dialogue between families and the different members of the school community.
Represent the voice of parents within the various LFIP bodies in which they are represented: School Council, Class Councils, CVL, CVC, school catering/canteen committees, commissions and other bodies involved in school life.
Take part in discussions, projects and initiatives that contribute to students’ well-being and success, while fostering a positive and constructive environment within the school.
💗 Our priority: to be present, approachable and constructive, while respecting everyone’s role and the way the school operates.
Every family has a different experience, perspective and sensitivity.
We believe that every voice can help improve life at LFIP.
Have an idea, a need, a suggestion or a question? Families can share them with us at any time.
Our approach is designed to be simple, collaborative and constructive:
You suggest → APPI listens → We discuss → We build together → We take action
Every proposal is considered carefully and thoughtfully. When it falls within the scope of our missions, it can be discussed with the School Management, educational teams and the various school bodies, or be directly supported by parents.
Throughout the year, this collaborative approach can take many different forms:
Meetings and discussions with the School Management
Surveys and questionnaires for families
Participation in LFIP events and projects
Solidarity actions and educational initiatives
Parent Representatives / Parent Ambassadors
Projects supporting the welcome and integration of new families
Testimonials and initiatives highlighting projects, students and school teams
Initiatives proposed directly by families
💡 SUGGEST AN IDEA
💗 Together, let’s turn ideas into meaningful actions for students and families.
“Today’s actions pave the way for tomorrow’s successes.”
At APPI, our commitment is built around four essential values that guide the way we listen to, represent and support families.
Act with care, respect and consideration for everyone, helping to create a calm, supportive and welcoming school environment where every family and every student can find their place.
Be available and attentive to families, without judgement, encourage open communication and foster constructive dialogue to better understand their needs and work together to find solutions.
Communicate in a clear, honest and responsible way, share useful information and explain our actions in order to build a relationship based on trust.
Act with complete independence, free from external influence, while respecting everyone’s role and maintaining one constant priority: the best interests of students, families and the entire LFIP school community.
"Listen, Engage in Dialogue & Act Together to Build Trust"
Above all, APPI is a human adventure driven by volunteer parents who give their time and bring their experience and skills to support the collective and its families.
