Saturday, July 24th - Meet at St. Nick's parking lot 6:30 a.m. Gather and load vans. Drive 250 miles, 5 hours plus stops for gas/bathrooms (Note: It will be 1 hour later here.) Bring bag lunches/snacks and filled labeled water bottle; we will have coolers in the rental vans. Sunday, July 25th- Spend the morning in Ohio and then drive 281 miles, 4 1/2 hrs to Appalachian South Folklife Center in Pipestem, West Virginia. We are hoping to stop at a mountain top removal site.
Monday July 26th- Friday, July 30th - Service work in the community doing what we are asked to do. Cultural activities during the week and on a possible day off.
Saturday July 31st/August 1st - Leave at approximately 6:30 a.m. on July 31st. Drive 293 miles (4 3/4 hrs) to the National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton. OH. We will camp at Beavercreek Community Park (Angels Pass). http://beavercreekparks.org/parks Leave August 1st and drive 320 miles (5.25 hrs plus stops). (Note: It will be an hr earlier in Chicago.) (It is also possible some may drive straight back to Chicago on July 31st which is 604 miles (10 hrs plus stops). )
