ADHD Focus & Life — Privacy Policy

AtaForge ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data ADHD Focus & Life (the "App") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
a) Information you give us when signing in
We support Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google. When you sign in we receive:
• a unique account identifier from the provider (Firebase UID)
• the email address associated with your sign-in (or Apple's relay address if you chose "Hide My Email")
• your display name and profile photo URL, if your provider returns them
We do not request, store, or process passwords. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, a service of Google LLC.
b) Subscription receipts
If you purchase a Premium subscription, Apple sends a receipt to RevenueCat (our subscription analytics provider). RevenueCat stores the receipt and your anonymous app user identifier so it can verify your entitlement across your devices.
c) Advertising identifier (free tier only)
On the free tier, the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) and other technical information to deliver and measure ads. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising on iOS).
d) On-device data
The following data lives ONLY on your device (in encrypted MMKV storage) and is NOT transmitted to our servers:
• Your tasks, subtasks, brain-dump notes, and Big Three picks
• Your mood and energy log entries
• Your scheduled reminders
• Your focus-session history and XP / streak / achievement progress
• Your in-app settings (theme, language, font scale, app-lock state)
We have no backend that stores or syncs this data. If you delete the App or wipe your device, this information is permanently lost.
e) Permissions we request
• Notifications — to deliver reminders you schedule yourself.
• Face ID / Touch ID — only to unlock the App when you enable the optional App Lock feature. Biometric data never leaves your device.
• Location — declared for a planned location-based reminders feature; the current version does not request your location.
• Health data — declared for planned mood / sleep correlation features; the current version does not access HealthKit.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
• Authenticate you and prevent fraudulent access to your account.
• Validate your Premium subscription across devices.
• Show contextually relevant advertisements on the free tier.
• Diagnose crashes and improve the App (no third-party crash reporter is bundled in version 1.0; we may add one in future updates and will update this policy first).
We do NOT:
• Sell your personal information to anyone.
• Use your tasks, moods, or notes for advertising.
• Profile or target you based on the content you create in the App.
3. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
• Google LLC (Firebase Authentication, AdMob)
• RevenueCat, Inc. (subscription validation)
• Apple Inc. (App Store transaction processing)
These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and act as processors on our behalf. We do not share data with any other third party for marketing purposes.
4. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is intended for adults (16+). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact hello@ataforge.com and we will delete it.
5. YOUR RIGHTS
You can:
• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request that we delete your account and all associated data.
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting the App.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ataforge.com. We will respond within 30 days.
You may also delete your account directly from the App: Profile → Sign Out → Delete Account. This irreversibly removes your Firebase Auth record, signs you out of RevenueCat, and wipes the on-device storage.
6. DATA RETENTION
Firebase Auth records persist until you delete your account. RevenueCat retains subscription receipts for the duration required by Apple's audit policies (typically 7 years). On-device data is retained until you delete the App or clear it from Settings.
7. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Firebase, AdMob, and RevenueCat operate servers in the United States and other countries. By using the App outside the US, you consent to the transfer of your data to those countries, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.
8. SECURITY
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: HTTPS for all network traffic, Firebase's server-side encryption at rest, iOS Keychain / Android Keystore for sensitive on-device values. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
